Doula Support Collective at Reading Midwife Center

Congratulations to Kati on becoming a certified birth doula!

 

Her doula services will focus on supporting births at the Reading Midwife Center. Kati, alongside fellow Registered Nurse and Doula Jodie Whitcombe, has initiated a program aimed at supporting out-of-hospital births at the birth center.

 

Their mission is to eliminate cost barriers while ensuring that every expecting family receives the exceptional care they deserve. They are joined by three other local doulas to guarantee coverage for all clients during birth.

 

In addition to attending births, Jodie and Kati will host monthly Doula Circle Events at the birth center, free for all Reading Midwife Center clients. These events will include topics such as birth planning, postpartum planning, Meet the Doula sessions, community building, and more.
